Wish List

Everyone can help HEEC and the ELC put on fabulous programs and take care of the animals! Whether monetary or products, all donations are welcome, but items off the Wish List are especially appreciated.

ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING CENTER (ELC) WISH LIST

The ELC currently cares for a variety of animals, many of which have been donated to the library, because they could no longer be cared for. These animals are live exhibits which may be viewed by the public for the purpose of education. The ELC is currently in need of the following items:

● Outdoor Cages/Playpens

● Yesternews (recycled newspaper bedding pellets)

● Scoops

● Coconut Bedding; Soft

● Healthy Habitat Cleaner Spray

● Rags/ Towels

● Animal Hides/ Log Halves

● Rubber Gloves

● Spray Bottles

● Large Reptile Water Bowls

● Sponges and Scrub Brushes

● Hand Sanitizer

● Food (must be sealed), specifically:

     - Chinchilla & guinea pig pellets

     - Bird seed for Love Birds & Parakeets

     - Rabbit Pellets

     - Cichlid color enhancing pellet

     - Slider turtle pellets (aquatic)

     - Tropical fish flakes                  

 

The ELC also provides a variety of environmental programs and  workshops available to the public at no cost. The ELC is always looking for new items to create learning activities. Before you head to the recycling center or throw things into the dumpster, we encourage you to consider contacting us to find out if your surplus materials could be useful to programming staff!
